These are the roaring fires that were across the street from campus.

This is beyond the banana trees and a closer and more real view of how big the field fires were. They spread across the entire field behind campus.

This is the field beside Esther's place. It's the field that came very close to Joy Hut.

You can see here that the fire didn't come past the campus fence (NorthWest side of campus), but it had plenty of grass that could have caught fire if it had come any further.
